Cards & Payments

How do payments work?

Your bond amount is divided into 4 equal instalments charged fortnightly. There is a one-off per request fee upon requesting a new card, which is 5% of the total bond amount. There are no further charges.

There are two basic ways to pay. The most convenient is our automatic payments system. When you have an instalment due, we will notify you 24 hours in advance so that you can ensure you have sufficient funds in your nominated payment method for that instalment.

Alternatively, you can always make payments on time or early by selecting the PAY NOW button next to the payment due on your app/account. You will then be prompted to follow the steps to make a payment.

Please note that we cannot accept payments via BPAY, Bank Transfer or Pre-Paid cards.

Can I pay less than the full instalment amount?
Flexibond requires the full instalment amount paid on the due date.
Can I choose a different payment method than the current available methods?
You’re more than welcome to add a new card in your payment method. However, please kindly keep in mind that we only accept bank details or credit and debit cards from Mastercard and Visa.
Which cards does Flexibond accept?

We accept credit and debit cards from Mastercard and Visa which were issued in your country of residence.

We currently do not accept Amex.

What happens when a pre-authorised payment fails?

A pre-authorised payment will fail if your nominated payment method has expired or if it does not have sufficient funds. We will send you an email to notify you that the automatic payment has failed.

You can make an overdue payment by logging in to your account and clicking PAY NOW next to your “Overdue Payment” in your card’s Upcoming Payment section – just follow the prompts.

Can I make an early payment?
You can make an early payment for the next scheduled payment. For example, if you have paid the first instalment, you can make an early payment on the second instalment. To do this, click PAY NOW next to the instalment in your card’s Upcoming Payment section.
What happens when my nominated debit or credit card is lost and/or stolen?
Once you have found your card again or received a new one, you can update the details of your nominated payment method in your account via the app or website, by going to “Payment Information.”
Does Flexibond offer an extended repayment plan?
No, we don’t. We keep our instalment plans short and fixed to make sure everyone stays in control of their money.
Is there an additional fee?
Flexibond only charges a one-off fee per card request which is 5% of the bond amount. There are no late fees.
How many times can I update my payment method?
There is no limit to how many times you can update your payment method. Just ensure that the payment method is valid/ not expired and has sufficient funds, to avoid failed payments.
